OT in Action at Haven OT
It’s OT Week (27 October - 2 November), and this year’s theme, OT in Action, celebrates the many ways occupational therapy makes a difference in everyday life.
At Haven OT, we see OT in action as engaging in activities that are meaningful to each individual, whether that is play, self-care, school, or work. Our occupational therapists work directly with people of all ages in their homes, schools, and communities to support participation, independence, and wellbeing.
Engaging in these activities often happens within the therapy session, where OTs help explore ways to adapt or grade tasks and environments to better support participation in everyday life.
These photos capture OT in action, which can look different for each person and session. Sometimes it is as simple as having a chat, a moment of connection or sharing that helps shape the therapeutic approach.
In these images, you will see examples such as cooking, playing with playdough, and talking. Each moment reflects the everyday skills, trust, and meaningful connections that are at the core of occupational therapy.
